Also known as porcelain leaves, porcelain laminate veneers are used on the aesthetically problematic teeth without applying any etching or by applying a 0,3-0,7 mm etching if necessary. It is an aesthetic treatment in which a custom-made porcelain shell is applied on the front surface of teeth by permanently cementing it to the front of the teeth.
Because of being thin and transmitting light, they provide patients with a perfect aesthetic look. They meet the aesthetical expectations by not changing color and by providing a natural look.
Porcelain lamina application consists of a treatment process of minimum 2 sessions. Length of appointments varies according to the number of teeth and laminae.
No pain is felt during the procedure. When necessary, local anesthesia is performed in order to prevent pain during the procedure.
After the procedure, temporary laminae are glued in order to protect your teeth and to prevent sensitization until the bonding session.
During the first examination, patient’s mouth is measured before the procedure. With the obtained model, a mock-up (proofing work) application is made in the laboratory from a special material. The physician and patient can make the desired changes on this 3D model and mouth, and decide on how the final aesthetic appearance should be.
